Payment terms differ from total order price, as well as type of order. See below breakdown of terms:
Any orders under £50 are payable on the date of booking
Any orders made less than 7 days before collection or delivery are payable on the date of booking
Orders above £50 will require a non-refundable deposit of 50% to confirm your booking
Celebration cakes: the remaining balance to be paid 7 days prior to collection or delivery
Wedding cakes, desert bars and treat tables: the remaining balance to be paid 14 days prior to collection or delivery.
Failure to meet payment terms without agreement may result in your order being canceled and your deposit will not be refunded.
An order is not confirmed until the deposit, or full payment where deposits aren’t applicable, is received.
Cancellations and changes
Any changes to your order must be made no later than 3 days prior to collection or delivery. For celebration or wedding orders (including bars and tables), any changes need to be made no later than 14 days prior to collection or delivery.
Any expenses incurred prior to changes of order could be chargeable extra on the final invoice.
The booking deposit is non-refundable, however in the event of cancellation 2 weeks prior to collection the deposit can be transferred to a future date, subject to availability. Cancellation with less than 14 days for celebration or wedding orders (including bars and tables) will be liable for the full order amount.
Allergen and ingredient information
It is the responsibility of the client to inform Figs Bakery of any and all known allergies. The client agrees to complete responsibility of passing over all relevant information about allergies and dietary requirements.
Figs Bakery does not run an allergens free kitchen, equipment used comes into contact with nuts, milk, wheat and other allergens. Allergen and ingredient information will be provided with all orders.
Figs Bakery cannot be held liable for any damage caused to the cake after it has been inspected by the client and left the premises. Upon collection it is the client’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the cake to its required destination.
In the unlikely event that a cake is deemed as unsatisfactory upon cutting, the client must retain the whole cake for inspection by the cake maker. If it is agreed that the cake is not fully baked or does not contain the correct flavors as stated on the initial order, a percentage of the total cost will be agreed and refunded. Without an inspection, no refund can be given.
Figs Bakery is not liable for any issues caused by incorrect allergies or dietary requirements provided.
Right of substitution
In the unlikely event of a severe medical, natural or other emergency, it may be necessary to arrange an alternative provider. Figs Bakery will make every effort to secure a replacement. If such a situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for your order.
Delivery and charges will be agreed upon the booking of the service.
Delivery and set up is included in the total cost when quoted for celebratory and wedding cakes, bars and tables.
Any changes in delivery must be given no less than 24 hours before delivery. Extra charge may be added to the final invoice for changes made with less than 24 hours notice.
By making the payment you are confirming that you have read all of the above terms and conditions, understand and agree to them.
